The Perfect Red Lips

Quick post today, I'd like to share with you all how I do a red lip. I understand that everyone has their own way of doing it, but it took me a few experiments to find the perfect shade of red for me - and if you're struggling, hopefully I can provide a little bit of inspiration^-^

My skin tone is very pale, so I tend to go for a cherry red as oppose to a deep burgundy colour - but this might not suit every skin tone, so make sure to test it out before you buy it!

The overall look (I'm also using a lip liner from No7 to prevent feathering.)
Kate Moss for Rimmel - Shade 01
This is a popular lipstick that I'd heard a lot about from various beauty bloggers, so of course I had to try it out. I must say, I think it lives up to the reputation. The consistancy is wonderful, and it applies like a dream. The colour is perfect for me, not too bright but not too dark either - just what I wanted really! (:

What's your perfect red lipstick? Tell me in the comments - I'd love to know! ^-^

London Fashion Week: Temperley London

My Internet has been down for a little while, so this post is a little late. I'd planned on doing a post per each day of London fashion week - but that's not happened...

Anyway, I'd like to write about designer Alice Temperley, you may or may not know of her. It might sound a little strange, but I've always felt close to her - you see, Alice Temperley was a former student at the secondary school that I am currently attending. Not that many celebrities come from Somerset so being from the same place as a designer that I idolise is pretty special.

Naturally, the collection I was most eager to see at London Fashion Week was Temperley London. Once again she exceeded my high expectations and produced some incredible catwalk pieces - here are some of my favourites:

Totally in love with that dress and coat.

How pretty is the detailing on the shoulders?

I love the intricate patterns that she used in some designs.

This dress looks a bit Grecian, gold and white look amazing together.

I just love the shape and how it falls.

The detailing of this dress is gorgeous, mermaid-esque?
Tell me, what do you think of Alice Temperley? And which designers stood out for you at LFW this season?

Review: Lancome Doll Eyes Mascara

I have a hard time finding good mascaras. They all claim to work wonders, but I find this is rarely the case - especially with drugstore products. I've tried so many brands, but have yet to find one I really like, though I have some that are decent quality.

Because of my dilemma, last Christmas I decided to reach out to higher end products. This is something I hardly ever do, purely because I don't have the money to do so, and normally drugstore makeup is perfectly fine for me to use. I chose a Lancome mascara, the 'Doll Eyes' version because I'd heard very good reviews and I liked the sound of having doll eyes^-^

First off, how sweet is the packaging?! Anyway, that's not the point, the first thing about the mascara that I noticed was the brush. It's fairly thin and easy to coat every lash - which is nice. When I applied it, I found that it gave my lashes lots of length, but hardly any volume. This is ok for me, because I tend to prefer lengthening mascaras - however I know that some people do not. On the plus side, it didn't clump and it only took one coat to make my eyes look prettier(: I would recommend this if like me, you look for length. Alternatively if you want volume, this probably isn't the mascara for you.

Have you tried any Lancome mascaras? Or do you have a particular drugstore mascara that I should be using? Let me know in the comments.^-^
